At the second exchange Rosanna Crawford handed over in first place for Canada followed closely by many teams.

The third leg would prove to be pretty decisive as Tiril Eckhoff shot clean again and handed over a 23 second lead to Olsbu.

Oslbu had to use 2 spare rounds in both her shoots and came out of the range for the final time just 5 seconds in front of Dorin Habert who had skied fast and shot clean in the stand to overtake Dahlmeier.

In a heroic ski Olsbu held off the Frenchwoman and crossed the line to the acclaim of the crowd and her teammates. Emil also managed to vanquish the Relay from Sochi where he lost the gold medal and King Harald looked pleased with the Relay double.

At the first exchange it looked like Germany were in control with a great leg from Erik Lesser. However Tarjei Boe on the second leg for Norway and his brother Johannes on the third left Svendsen with a comfortable lead of 30 seconds.

All he had to do was shoot well and he did to secure gold. Christian Gow and Brendan Green shot clean in legs 1 and 4 and the team only used 5 spares in total.

So the Relays are done and the locals go home happy with 2 gold medals. Martin Fourcade was defending a lead from the Sprint of 27 seconds and Tiril Eckhoff had a lead of 15 seconds.

Unsurprisingly Martin Fourcade kept most of his advantage and won his third gold medal at these Championships. He did miss 3 targets but they were on the final two shoots when he already had enough of an advantage so made no difference to the race.

He even had time to receive congratulations from his team and grab a French flag to cross the finish line with. His win means that he picks up the Sprint and Pursuit Crystal Globes and also the Overall Title for the fifth time in his career.

However they did better in the Pursuit with Bjoerndalen defending second place to get another silver medal. The man is incredible and is probably already considering changing his mind about retirement!

In third place was Emil Hegle Svendsen who missed only 1 target coming from 17th to get the bronze medal. Other impressive performances came from Jakov Fak who came from 39th to 5th getting back into form to defend his Mass Start title.

Erik Lesser went from 19th to 7th, Anton Shipulin from 45th to 9th, Nathan Smith from 46th to 15th, Yan Savitsky from 40th to 19th, Tarjei Boe from 54th to 31st, Thomas Bormolini from 56th to 37th and Jaroslav Soukup from 60th to 41st.

She looked back on form with her skiing in the Sprint and her shooting is excellent. In second place was Dorothea Wierer who missed 2 targets and third was Marie Dorin Habert who missed 3.

In fact these two got a bit tangled up coming out of the range but it had no bearing on the result. I think she used all her energy celebrating her Sprint win and she would have had a lot of media commitments last night.

Other good displays came from Juliya Dzhyma who went from 31st to 9th, Fanny Horn Birkeland from 42nd to 19th, Paulina Fialkova from 49th to 23rd, Dunja Zdouc from 58th to 28th and Magdalena Gwizdon from 55th to 30th.

Will Fourcade be able to get his 4th gold medal? Can anyone stop him? Who will take gold for the Women? Will Soukalova be able to do it or will Wierer continue her great form in the Individual?

While most of them came on the strong Norwegian relay team, the highlight of her career was winning the Sprint in Ruhpolding. Now after retiring she is looking forward with plans for future.

Are you enjoying some time off after a tough biathlon season? We usually go to vacation after the season, but this year we wanted to stay in Norway to see friends and family, as there is not much time for that during the rest of the season.

We will spend time at home and maybe will go to some mountains in Norway. Twenty-nine is still young for a biathlete; why did you decide to retire after this season?

Actually, my plan was to go until the Olympics next year, but my form has not been so good. I did everything to reach my goals, but still I had some trouble to make it to the top in my competitions.

It is hard to put so much work into it every day and not get any results that I want. Twenty-nine is not so old, but I have been in this game for some time and it feels right now.

How did you become a professional biathlete? I started with cross-country skiing; there were some trainers in my biathlete club who wanted me to try biathlon when I was I tried it and I liked it, as it was not just skiing, I liked the combination.

While growing up, did you have a special idol you looked up to? When I grew up, I had the opportunity to be on the same team as Ole Einar; I think he was a role model for most athletes.

I admire that he is still competing at his age. Looking back at seven years in the World Cup, what were the highlights for you? The highlight of my career was my win in the Ruhpolding sprint in It was unreal, as it was trouble for me to make a perfect race, and that was my day to get the opportunity to be on top of the podium.

I wanted to do it again, but I never managed it.

It was far from simple for them however. At the second exchange Rosanna Crawford handed over in first place for Canada followed closely by many teams.

I wanted to do it again, but I never managed it. We trained very hard with the team on our relays for the last three years before the World Championships in Oslo.

We have never made a podium that season before that race, but together we kept on fighting and that was an unbelievable day.

Everyone in the audience was watching and cheering for us. I will always remember that day. Your husband Lars also competes for Norway in the World Cup; what was it to be together on the tour?

In sport, you are away from home for so many days. I always had my husband with me when I was travelling, so it made it not so hard to be away.

We helped each other a lot to get where we are now.

I do not have any regrets about doing sports all these years. I will always remember that day.
